As part of the U-23 Africa Cup of Nations, Ibrahim Tanko has vowed to do everything in his power to ensure that the Black Meteors defeat Guinea on Friday at the Ibn Batouta Stadium in Tangier.
Only a victory for Ghana will ensure their place in the tournament’s final four, which also acts as an Olympic Games qualifier in 2024.

Guinea is tied with Ghana for second place in Group A with the same number of points, and all they need is a draw to move on.
Tanko spoke to the media at the team’s camp in the Ibis Hotel in Rabat on Wednesday following the team’s final practice at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium.
Recognizing the unpredictable nature of football,
Tanko remained confident in Ghana’s capacity to earn the three points and advance.
“It’s football, and anything can happen, but I’m 100 per cent sure that we are going to have the three points and qualify,” Tanko said.
