Kylian Mbappe could leave Paris Saint-Germain this summer despite signing a new deal just 12 months ago.
The France captain is out of contract in 2024 after informing the Ligue 1 champions that he will not be taking up the option of extending his stay for an extra year.
That leaves the club with a decision over whether to sell now or allow him to leave for free next summer.
Real Madrid seem like an obvious destination but there could well be interest from Premier League clubs, as well as teams outside Europe.
June 28: Liverpool to rival Madrid
Liverpool are ready to rival Real Madrid for Mbappe’s signature.
According to Marca, the Anfield club are willing to spend more than €300m to bring the France captain to Anfield.
The move would make the 24-year-old the most expensive player in history.
June 22: Messi suggests Spain switch
Lionel Messi has reportedly told Mbappe to head for Spain.
The Argentine superstar is set to join Major League Soccer outfit Inter Miami when his deal runs out at the end of the month and according to Spanish website Defence Central, he had some parting words of advice for his team-mate.
Messi apparently said: “I prefer that you go to Barca. But if you want to go to Madrid, do it, you deserve a real winning project.”
