Preparations are in full swing, with the venue buzzing with activity to host a ceremony that is set to attract both national and international attention. Traders are putting measures in place to ensure they are ready for the influx of visitors and dignitaries attending the presidential inauguration from across the country and beyond.
In an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) and sighted by The Ghana Times, some traders and hawkers explained that they arrived early due to concerns about securing enough space for their goods. Many vendors expressed worry that late arrival could result in poor positioning, limiting their ability to reach the anticipated large number of customers.
The event has drawn traders from distant locations, including several who traveled from Kumasi to take part in the setup activities currently ongoing at the inauguration grounds. These traders, filled with excitement, are keen to position themselves strategically at the presidential inauguration to maximize the business opportunities that the event will provide.
Several traders identified themselves as supporters of the President-elect and are visibly excited about the inauguration. Some of the traders shared their business plans for the event. The traders believe that this event provides a unique opportunity to promote their businesses, given the national and international exposure it is likely to bring. As anticipation builds, many traders are optimistic about the commercial benefits of the presidential inauguration.
Meanwhile, official reports confirm that 10 Heads of State have confirmed their attendance at the inauguration ceremony. In addition to the dignitaries, two Vice Presidents, one Speaker of Parliament, and two former Presidents are expected to grace the event.
