Stonebwoy Graduates with Second Class Upper Degree from GIMPA

Stonebwoy’s latest achievement places him among a growing number of Ghanaian celebrities pursuing academic degrees despite their successful careers in the entertainment industry.

Award-winning Ghanaian dancehall act, Stonebwoy, has bagged a Second Class Upper degree from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA).

The “Therapy” hitmaker graduated with a degree in Public Administration, which was conferred upon him during a graduation ceremony, held on the institute’s premises on Friday, July 26, 2024.

The dancehall artiste, who had previously attended the University of Professional Studies Accra (UPSA), where he was studying business administration, dropped out of the school during his formative years as a musician, to give full attention to his music career.

According to Stonebwoy, his decision to return to school was influenced by his wife Dr. Louisa Satekla, who had passionately encouraged him and bought admission forms for him in order to pursue higher education, while balancing his music career at the same time.

Stonebwoy’s latest achievement places him among a growing number of Ghanaian celebrities pursuing academic degrees despite their successful careers in the entertainment industry.

This list includes names of celebrities like Guru, Samini, Becca, DJ Mensah and John Dumelo, all of whom have pursued higher education to improve their professional credentials and broaden their horizons.
