Mathew Anim Cudjoe signs with Bnei Sakhnin in Israeli Premier League

Ghanaian youngster Mathew Anim Cudjoe has completed a transfer to Israeli Premier League side Bnei Sakhnin.

He has joined on a free transfer after departing Dundee United at the end of last season.

“It’s a new dawn; still eyes on the ultimate. God is the Greatest,” Cudjoe expressed upon his signing.

Currently, Bnei Sakhnin sits ninth in the league after six matches, and Cudjoe aims to contribute to their improvement.

The former Ghana U17 star turned down a contract extension with Dundee United despite a promising campaign that earned him a new deal.

“They offered me a first contract at the start of the season, but I didn’t accept it. They presented a second contract, which I also declined, before offering me a third,” he explained in an earlier interview with 3 Sports.

“Dundee United has been good to me, and I really appreciate it. However, in football, sometimes you have to move forward, go to another team, and gain new experiences,” he added.

He scored four goals and contributed two assists as Dundee won the Scottish Championship last season.
