Berry Ladies FC Centre back was awarded the prestigious award at yesterday’s match and award ceremony for the 2022/23 final league clash.
Martha Appiah saw off competition from Adama Alhassa (Army Ladies fc), Grace Ntsiful (Northern Ladies) and Anasthesia Achiaa (Ampem Darkoa Ladies) in winning the award.
Having joined Berry Ladies Fc three seasons ago, Martha Appiah subsequently proved one of the key pillars of a rock-solid defense which kept clean sheets and conceded just few goals during last season’s league campaign.
“I would like to say I am very happy to receive the award. It means a lot to me, and I would like to say thank you to everyone who took part in it,” said Martha Appiah to the media team of Berry Ladies FC who wasn’t there to receive it but was received by our Chief Executive Officer, Mrs Gifty Oware-Mensah on behalf of her at Kumasi.
Martha’s latest award follows in the wake of a number of similar MVP’s, individual honors which she won during this 2022/23 season.
