All Images of Berry Ladies FC End of Season Chat: On Saturday, 6th May 2023, Berries celebrated a thrilling campaign with a chit chat and a small eat and drink with their chaperones and some technical and management team members to discuss the challenges and the way forward for next season.
Coach Freeman Amponsah’s girls toasted a season in which they were top 4.

On the emotions felt during the chit chat…
Without a shadow of a doubt, no club in Ghana – this world – that they are in 7th position at the end of the first leg of a season and climbs up to 4th position at the end of the season will not be happy and emotional. Absolutely outstanding from our players. This is the best female club in Ghana – I don’t care what other people think!
On the players being nervous about what to expect from the chit chat…
We weren’t sure what we can expect. We spoke about it before, ‘What do we do?’ You have to plan this kind of thing. You can’t just decide to have a chit chat and discuss challenges knowing very well some players will step on toes whiles bringing their issues out. But we hoped that we find something like this, it’s absolutely incredible to resolve issues and move to our next chapter with unity.
On wanting the players to enjoy occasions like this…
That’s the biggest sign you can give to your fans and players. Yes, we were top 4, great, but we didn’t win the league – and these fans don’t forget, they know exactly what a shift the girls put in. Absolutely incredible. It’s such a boost for everything that will come. Unbelievable and we know the fans are also happy for them.
On their pride in the squad and the supporters…
We are proud of the players but we are proud of these fans, to be honest. Unbelievable. Now we come here and see this, when you see the eyes of the players, it’s incredible. That’s the best sign you can get; you don’t have to win, you just need to put all that you have in, really throw everything on the pitch and the fans of Berry Ladies fc will love you. We celebrate life, we celebrate the season, we celebrate our competitions, we celebrate everything when its bad or worse.
On the season…
It’s an unbelievable season. What the girls did is unbelievable, what the coaches did is unbelievable. The concentration we kept up, the level we kept, unbelievable. All good. Now we have a holiday (they both smiled)!
